If you’re human, which I assume you are, you’ve probably had times when you’ve “dabbled” with quitting something. You’ve had something you’ve tried to quit, and know it’s what you want, but it’s taken some time to get to the point of actually committing to it!
There are many reasons this may happen and the truth is that the decision to make a change and truly commit happens in a moment, but it can take a while to actually get to this point. That’s when you’re “dabbling” kind of half heartedly making a change but not being fully successful. It can be frustrating because you know you “should” make the change but your resolve isn’t yet ALL the way there!
I know I’ve had times like this when I’ve “tried” to quit and the process was long and drawn out. I didn’t have enough of a reason or enough leverage to actually DO it until I took a few steps to make the change inevitable. In other words, making a commitment so big that it’s impossible or really hard to change your mind again!
Recently, I finally got sick and tired of putting off the decision for new furniture in my house. I’ve been in this house for 4 years and the furniture never quit fit the space the way I wanted. I’ve finally “quit” the old furniture and have new stuff on order. Now I HAVE TO get rid of the old stuff to make space for the new furniture!

In this video, I share some tips on what I’ve learned to move though the “dabbling” and get to the quitting quicker! I have some examples of making the change inevitable to help keep you motivated and follow through on your toughest commitments.
Once you’ve watched the video, I’d love to hear from you. Is there anything you’ve been dabbling in quitting? Which of the three tips I provide will be most helpful for you? What will you commit to changing and making inevitable?
I look forward to hearing from you! Until next time, keep up the great work and keep going for it! You’ve totally got this.
