Have you ever been told that you need to get better at the things you’re not good at? Or you need to improve on things that you’re really not interested in?
While there is merit to learning new things and improving on your skills, it makes no sense to put in so much effort to do something that doesn’t suit you.
We all have special talents and lean towards different types of work. To be successful, your best bet is to DO WHAT YOU’RE ALREADY GOOD AT. Then hone it.
Be who you’re meant to be. Be the best version of yourself by getting better at what you are already rocking.
You can hire out the rest. Or choose a job that enhances your talents and skills.
Don’t suffer trying to do spreadsheets or bookkeeping if that’s not your jam (Hint – that’s an example from my life!).
Do what makes your heart sing. You have a unique talent and personality traits you can hone.
Then – you will be successful.
Until you figure this out…until to find your flow…you will feel stuck. You will feel unproductive. You will procrastinate.
Plus, the world needs YOU as you are. It needs the part of you that shines. That’s what makes a difference.
You have unique gifts and talents. Why would you hide behind meaningless tasks that mask your greatness?
HONESTLY. DON’T. DO. WHAT. YOU. SUCK. AT.
Yes, if you’re learning a new skill that enhances your uniqueness, go for it. That is part of your nature. That’s what I’m talking about. Don’t go against your nature.
You will be uncomfortable starting something new – or when you’re breaking through to the next level of something you’re already more than competent at. In that case – freaking go for it and excel! That’s where you’ll start to soar.
Remember, there will be plateaus, there will be times you have to focus and make some effort to move forward. As you embrace your greatness, who you’re really meant to be, you’ll soar!
That’s what I want to see. I would love nothing more that to see you use your gifts to build your business and love what you do.
Life is too short to suffer. Do what you love. Love what you do.
