If you’re like me, “failing” is rarely fun and is often a challenge to overcome. I’ve had more “failures” than I can count and at the same time, I really believe they had to happen to get me to where I am today.
One of those “failures” was a website business that I started last year. I went to all the effort of creating the website, the content, the business plan, spent tons of money, time, heart and soul, to realize it wasn’t what I wanted to do. Shutting it down was a hard decision because I had invested so much, but I just knew I wouldn’t be happy long term continuing on that path.
That was a tough realization. And hard to let go of too. I felt like I had “failed” because I got it wrong! At the same time, it didn’t make sense to keep pushing at something that just wasn’t right. I had to get over the sensation that I had “failed” and find a more meaningful explanation for the experience.
Here’s what I realized….Had I not created that website, I would have never known that it wasn’t right. I could still be sitting here today wondering if I should try it. Now I know and it provided me with a great foundation to move on and create something I really love! Which also lead me to YOU!
While failures can be painful, it’s amazing how resilient we as humans can be. When we’re willing to face what is in front of us and figure a way out, amazing things can happen. In this video, I share with you some of the things I did to move forward from my failure and make it a success – which you can do too! For any area of your life.
It’s really all a matter of our approach, how we think about the failure, who we become in the process and how we choose to move on. I hope you get some valuable insights and you can learn from my mistakes!
As always, I love to hear from you. Have you ever had a “failure” that you turned into a success? How did you do it?
Please share in the comments below. You never know who you might help and inspire!
Remember to keep believing in yourself and keep believing in your dreams, no matter how many “failures” you have. Go out and make them happen!
